Holistic Hormone Specialist · Nutritional Therapist
Your thoughts get loud and you completely unravel over something that wouldn't have touched you a week ago. You pick fights, then cry after, or go quiet and disappear for days. Then the sweet relief of your period comes, the fog lifts, and you go back to normal but you spend the week apologising for a woman your partner barely recognised, as you dread the next crash.
This isn't your personality, and it isn't something you have to suffer with for the next twenty years.
I'm Florence Seck, a qualified Nutritional Therapist and Somatic Movement Coach. I work with the physical and the emotional roots of PMS together, because when combined the week before your period can become a week you enjoy, where you actually get to live your life.

Free trainingThree simple steps to calm PMS moods, before your next luteal week.
Watch it freeDoes this sound like you?
You're snapping at the people you love, crying at things that wouldn't have touched you two weeks earlier, and then your period finally comes and it's an intense relief.
Nobody should have to plan their whole life around one week of every cycle.
What's actually happening
When progesterone falls away in the final week, an under-nourished, over-stretched body has no reserves to draw on. The real work isn't "balancing hormones", it's building a body that can stay steady as the hormones fall.
For every woman, the cause will be a unique combination but some of the most common are blood sugar crashes, depleted nutrients, inflammation, poor liver elimination, poor gut health, suppressed emotions - all often underpinned by a nervous system that has been in survival mode for years.
Support the body, and the overwhelm, rage, anxiety, exhaustion ease together, because your body has the capacity and resilience to stay steady through the hormonal changes.
(even if you feel like it in the luteal week)
Up to three in four women live with premenstrual symptoms, and for around one in twenty they're severe enough to disrupt work, relationships and health. It might be common, but that doesn't mean that it's normal or that you have to just accept this is your life.
And there's one more piece almost nobody mentions: PMS isn't just a physical thing. It is so often everything you've held in all month finally coming out. All the times you meant no but said yes, the movement you felt hurt but you didn't voice, the unmet needs you didn't know how to express. All these things sit just under the surface, and when your capacity drops in luteal week, they burst out in a meltdown, or explosion that feels far bigger than the moment.
Whatever your PMS looks like
PMS has over a hundred documented symptoms, and most women only ever get help with one or two of them, a supplement for the cramps, an app for the mood, nothing that treats it as one thing. I work across all of it, because it all comes from the same place.
You don't need to have the "worst" version of it to deserve support.
The PMS Solution Method
Most practitioners lead with lab panels and a diet plan, then add a little "mindset" at the end. I sequence it the other way round, because a dysregulated nervous system will undermine even a perfect protocol, and you cannot nutrition your way out of a feeling you never had the space to have.

Step One
PMS is not a mood problem, it's a hormone problem with a metabolic root. Blood sugar crashes spike cortisol, which steals from progesterone. Low magnesium, B6 and omega-3s leave you inflamed and depleted. A sluggish gut recycles the oestrogen you were meant to eliminate. That combination is exactly what produces cramps, sore breasts, bloating, headaches, cravings and the 3pm collapse in your luteal week. We fix that first, because when your body has what it needs to make and clear hormones properly, the physical half of PMS is relieved.

Step Two
Your luteal phase is when progesterone falls and serotonin dips, the one week a month your nervous system has the least buffer. If you're already running in survival mode, that dip is where the rage, the anxiety, the crying at nothing, the insomnia and the brain fog come from. It isn't weakness, it's a stressed system losing its last bit of padding. We map your own stress patterns and build small daily tools, breath, movement, slowness, pleasure, so the luteal shift meets a steady body instead of an exhausted one.

Step Three
There's a reason your feelings arrive on schedule. In the days before you bleed, the filter that keeps you accommodating everyone else comes down, and everything you've held in all month, the anger, the grief, the unmet needs, surfaces at once. Suppressing it keeps your body braced and your stress load high, which feeds straight back into your symptoms. Somatic movement gives that held emotion a way out, so it stops erupting as irritability, tears and shame, and your premenstrual week becomes something to understand rather than a destructive force.
Science and somatics together, that's why this is different.

Real results, from real work.
“In the last three months doing this treatment, my periods have just gotten better and better to the point where my last cycle I had no premenstrual symptoms, no breast pain, no mood swings and no extreme tiredness. And the period itself was only two to three days long and only had half a day of pain.”
“The last 3 days before it arrived were very dreamy and I felt very clear-headed. Only one day of full PMS madness last Friday, instead of ten days.”
“I have gone from having horrendously painful periods and regular breakouts to forgetting my period is coming up, because I don't have any PMS symptoms anymore, and the pain itself has reduced so much.”

Hello, I'm Florence.
because I was told that too, for years, and I believed it, until I decided I was done living that reality, and went and did my own research.
First the science, a year studying biomedicine, then completion of a naturopathic nutrition diploma. I followed this, with deep somatic movement training. With this extensive training, I've spent the ten years since understanding my own cycle first, then supporting women in my women's hormone clinic.
This is what I do. The week before your period, in every form it takes, and how to give it back to you.
