Delish Breakfasts
that calm the PMS gremlin.

Written by Florence Seck · Nutritional Therapist & Somatic Movement Coach

The way you eat in the first hour of your day sets the tone for your hormones, your energy, your mood and, whether it seems fair or not, your patience with everyone around you. These are the exact breakfasts I give my 1:1 clients.

  • Blood-sugar steady, to stop the 3pm crash

Why breakfast

A blood sugar crash feels exactly like a bad mood.

In the luteal phase your body needs more fuel and your blood sugar becomes far less stable. Skip breakfast, have the wrong breakfast or start on coffee and toast, and by mid-afternoon your body reads it as a threat, irritability, anxiety, cravings, tears.

One breakfast a day can help you become a different woman by your next cycle.

  • You’re starving and eating everything in sight the week before your period.
  • You crash mid-afternoon and everyone in the house feels it.
  • You wake up already anxious and can’t work out why.
  • You know you should eat better but you don’t have capacity for another diet.

Inside the guide

Breakfasts built for a hormonal body.

01

Protein first

Every breakfast hits the protein threshold that keeps blood sugar, and therefore mood, energy and cravings, steady until lunch.

02

Five-minute options

Made for real mornings: school runs, early meetings, and the days when standing up is already a lot.

03

Luteal-week friendly

Extra fibre, magnesium and healthy fat for the days your body is working hardest and needing more support.
